About the role

WOP360 operates 60+ country desks with licensed wire content and original reporting from independent journalists. We are building a distributed newsroom where correspondents own their beat and publish with transparent moderation standards.

What you'll do

• Pitch and file original stories (500–1,200 words) on politics, economy, security, or society for assigned desks.
• Meet accuracy and sourcing standards; respond to editor feedback within 24 hours.
• Collaborate with the SEO desk on headlines and metadata when stories are approved.
• Maintain a public journalist profile on wop360.com/journalists.

Requirements

• 2+ years of news reporting (print, digital, or broadcast).
• Fluent written English; additional languages strongly valued for regional desks.
• Demonstrated clips or portfolio with bylines.
• Comfort with a digital CMS and remote collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in MENA, Africa, Americas, or Asia-Pacific bureaus.
• Photo or video packaging skills.
• Familiarity with AP/Reuters style.

About the role

Our freelance network powers on-the-ground coverage where wire copy alone is not enough. You keep authorship credit and a permanent profile page linked to your published work.

What you'll do

• Submit well-sourced stories via the WOP360 reporter desk (draft → review → publish).
• Follow the submission guide and ethics charter.
• Revise when editors request changes; typical review window 48–72 hours.

Requirements

• At least one published sample (any reputable outlet or student paper with editorial oversight).
• Commitment to fact-checking and clear attribution.
• Valid email and completed reporter profile (bio, country, expertise).

Nice to have

• Beat expertise (climate, tech policy, elections, conflict).
• Multilingual reporting.

About the role

We run llama3 (and successors) on our own infrastructure to rewrite headlines, dek, and body copy for search quality — with human editorial oversight. You will harden parsers, retries, scoring, and batch jobs used in admin and cron.

What you'll do

• Maintain and improve `rewrite-article.server.ts`, batch scripts, and admin SEO tools.
• Design prompts and JSON contracts that survive model drift; monitor failure rates and latency.
• Integrate health checks, rate limits, and observability for Ollama on VPS.
• Work with editors to define what must never be automated (quotes, legal, breaking labels).

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript/Node and experience calling LLM APIs (local or hosted).
• Practical NLP or information-retrieval background.
• Comfort with PostgreSQL, Drizzle, and CI batch jobs.
• Security mindset: no secrets in prompts, PII handling, content policy.

Nice to have

• Ollama, vLLM, or self-hosted inference ops.
• Newsroom or CMS product experience.
• French or Arabic language models familiarity.
